At Tara Lerch Creative, we believe photographs should do more than hang on a wall. They should tell a story, build connection, and give back to the community we love. That’s why this year’s Pooch Playoffs is proudly supporting Forever Home Rescue, a Chester County based nonprofit dedicated to helping animals in need.
Pooch Playoffs is a fun, heart-filled dog photography competition that celebrates your pup’s personality while making a meaningful impact. When you participate, your entry fee is donated directly to Forever Home Rescue—turning wagging tails into real support for those animals in need.

Pooch Playoffs is a limited-time dog photography event designed to capture everything that makes your dog them — the head tilts, the soulful eyes, the goofy grins, and the quiet loyalty that fills your home every day.
Pooch Playoffs is a fun, bracket-style dog photography competition inspired by March Madness. Sixteen adorable fur babies are entered into The Ulti-Mutt Cutie tournament, where family, friends, and the community vote for their favorite pup in paw-to-paw matchups on social media.
With only 16 spots available, the competition is fierce, and the stakes are meaningful.
After their session, participating pups are entered into a friendly online competition where friends, family, and the community can vote for their favorites. Each vote helps raise awareness and funds for Forever Home Rescue, making every share and cheer count.
Pooch Playoffs is raising funds for Forever Home Rescue, a Chester County nonprofit that supports animals in need. Their rescue is foster based and run on charitable donations from the community. Established in 2007, Forever Home Rescue has helped to place many unwanted pets in their forever homes!
For $99, your pup will:
- Be entered into the Pooch Playoffs bracket-style competition
- Receive a professional pet portrait session with Tara Lerch Creative
- Receive a special gift
- Take home a dog-and-human-friendly SWAG bag featuring items from local, pet-friendly businesses
100% of contest proceeds are donated directly to Forever Home Rescue.

Pet portrait sessions take place February 7th - and March 7th.
Sessions are held in Downingtown, PA.
Only 16 total pups will be accepted.
Once you apply, Tara will personally call you to walk you through the entire experience:
- In-person consultation
- Your dog’s portrait session
- Ordering appointment to select the final image for competition and any wall art for your home.
Our fur babies deserve to be proudly displayed in our homes.
